ADRIAN PILECKI – DRAGON – THE SHOT I NEVER FORGOT
The reason why I picked this picture is because it reminds me of a very important time of my life where a lot of things happened. It was just before the summer holidays, in June. We moved a house and my aunt together with my grandmother have came along all the way from Poland to visit us in our new house. I havent seen my aunt for over 2 years so we decided to take her to London as I was on my study leave in college and my dad took a week of work as we had to move the house. So we went to London and just had a walk on a side of a river and that day we have seen many interesting things. But performing gymnasts have surely been the highlight of that day. We saw large amounts of people crowding so we quickly went along to see what’s going on and then we saw a group of gymnasts from Ghana performing for people, in the middle of a sidewalk. They have done many amazing things but one that impressed me the most, and has left me smiling for a long time afterwards was a position of a ”Dragon”. It has made everyone smile and laugh and i think that everyone was impressed as they were very precise and that definitely needed a lot of strength and training in order to be able to do it so naturally and easily, making people laugh and pulling weird faces as well. Why i like this picture? I like it because I took it when ”Dragon” was taking a step and you can see them pulling weird faces, and reactions of people to what they’re doing. I was also very lucky because I had amazing light which gave a quite funny shadow; I would describe it as a dragon with a turkey shadow. I dont know why it’s reminding me of a turkey but oh well i guess I’m just weird. Anyway, every time I see this picture, it brings me memories of amazing time spent together with my aunt in London.
